Can you tell it has been over a week since I typed anything? My regrets for subjecting you to many typos. |
As the SM-9 so lovingly stated in robot (Senatorial) font, Claire is the artist of the family. I can't draw, so I take photos. Here is her latest repurposed work in progress. For scale, look in the background of the first photo. Yes, in certain ways, she is very much my child.
Red on SM9 is not bad, not bad at all.
ReplyDelete"Yes, in certain ways, she is very much my child"... haha! Clear as noonday, Dwayne.
I'm not sure if a love of Japanese giant monsters, zombies, robots (and the giant Japanese variety thereof) and zombies is nature or nurture. Most child psychologists would argue that neither occurs in a vacuum. Daughter 1 loves zombie movies, but that is about as far as nurture carried her.
DeleteThe non-red trim portions are the only downside of the new color scheme other than the blinding red when the lights come on.
Nice job too.... Doesn't look all that bad in red at all.
ReplyDeleteI had actually grown to appreciate the imposing off-white mass of this machine and would not have tried painting had it not been for damage. All three of the women in my house like it, so I will count that as a win!
DeleteThat, is pretty rad red.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the whole thing turning Cybertonic. ;)
Arghhhh, sorry sorry sorry, I just realised the comment moderation. I thought blogger and wordpress mix was not happening. Meh.
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I have trouble figuring out Wordpress. The confirmation email for viewing replies on each and every post is a pain.
DeleteI have had some amusing spam show up in my moderation queue. Most of it is barely articulate but just relevant enough to wonder about potentially alienating a follower. Then I look at the empty profiles and worry no more.
This typewriter looks great in red. A huge improvement!
ReplyDeleteConsidering this comes from the man with a Purple Prose Producer and a red ICO, I will take that compliment.
DeleteYou know, Dwayne, your children are gonna grow up with great imaginations. Well done! And I love Claire's 'addition' to the painting.
ReplyDeleteAnd the SM9 looks great in red.
"Holy platens, Batman!"
I am so woefully behind in keeping up this blog. I'll let Claire know you enjoyed the addition. I have a small pile of miniature wall hangers saved for a rainy day.
DeleteAwesome blog, I especially love the velvet paintings--NOT! Wow, they really brought back memories. You are missing one though...the King, he has left the building but he shall not be forgotten, especially in Vegas. Thanks for sharing your fun and unique perspective, made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteBell
Thanks and thanks for following! Finding velvet versions of the King is difficult given general demand. I've only seen one in a year and it was huge and expensive. Rest assured, there will be more velvet here and on the other blogs that I (mostly) maintain.
