A blog about all kinds of vintage technology from simple mechanisms of the late 1800s through electronics and robotics of the 1980s. Many posts will be typecast and some will be off topic bits from everyday life. The blog will wander and meander with my quasi-evolving and ever changing interests.
My Beloved Spousal Unit's uncle owns several presses. He printed our wedding invitations! I've never actually seen the presses in action, so it is very neat to view this. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed this. My brother, a journalism professor, spotted this and shared it on FB. After many years of working in news, he finds looking at type styles to be soothing. I meant to share this information with the post, but my Blogger editing window was not working right with a Youtube share.
There is a great print workshop in Kansas City that I need to spend some time at. The guy who runs it is a retired type designer from Hallmark and it is filled with all kinds of delectable equipment. I'll post some photos from their last open house.
A beautiful documentary of a beautiful process. Thank you for finding and presenting it.

ReplyDeleteAn interesting watch, Dwayne, thanks.
